Thumb Bridge Technology™

Specialized thumb grip provides the gloved or ungloved hand ease of opening in all conditions with added steadiness and skillful control of your blade. While open, the Thumb Bridge™ and blade choils allow you to choke up on the knife for fine cutting and knife work.
Our enhanced pull grip gives the user added texture in the body of the knife for a firm hold and quicker response.

Very strong blade

The knife has a solid feel in your hand. You can easily “whip” the knife open after using the edge of your thumb to start the process. The blade can be used for many things…very tough.

Great knife, great price.

For the price, you cannot beat this knife. I have a Benchmade CQC-7 that i have stopped using as my EDC knife because of this one.

I only found out about First Tactical a short time ago. I started by ordering a few pairs of pants. Then a few more. When I began recommending First Tactical at my local range (I'm a Range Safety Officer) people began looking at the First Tactical line and began asking me more questions. Well, questions about an EDC knife led me back to First Tactical. My first venture into the F-T knives was the Copperhead knife which I characteristically lost within a few days. Oh well, I wasn't satisfied by the smaller size anyway. My second attempt was this Diamondback Spear tipped knife. So here we go. So far ... so good. It appears to hold a decent edge. It also seems to be well built and up to its many tasks I've put it through and hopefully WILL put it through. It has a decent weight about it leading one to believe it will give years of faithful service.

I plan on upgrading this review after a few years of service, but as of now, I'd recommend this knife for anyone looking for a hearty EDC.
