They also feel looser than the average tactical pants and that was by far the best feature for me, as squats gave me tree trunks for legs. The zipper is also longer than most pants, which makes for a more comfortable time in the bathroom.
The reason why I only gave this product four (4) stars in my rating is because the button next to the Prym® snap tore off from both my pants and I had to repair them after only a few months of use. I will be buying again, as long as First Tactical keep up with their promise on quality.
The Flex waist is just enough not to bind up or pinch.
If I had one thing I could change on these pants, the organizer pockets inside the cargo pockets, I wish the divider was full length instead of only at top. This inside pocket is great for holding your phone.
I know my next BDU's will be coming from First Tactical
The cargo pockets have small dividers built in which I thought might make them feel crowded but because the top expands with your hand you never have trouble rapidly reaching what you're after and it still being secured while your hand isn't in the pocket.
I had the unfortunate opportunity of getting fully submerged while wearing these pants. I was wearing my belt loose for comfort and the pants promptly sagged down under the weight. I was able to pull them up by the belt and the belt lining held them in place while I was able cinch my belt tight. I have ripped many belt loops off of the issued uniform in this exact situation, but these pants hand no issues.
A couple unadvertised features are just as beneficial. In my profession everything is properly secured, which unfortunately often means running key or handgun retention cables from pockets and holsters up to the belt. Not a huge issue, but they can snag, and its very easy to target the person with the access card or keys when the retention cable advertises it on their belt. These pants actually have loops built into each pocket to secure retention cables to, providing a much more secure option and more professional look.
Also, there is a sewn in slit in the top of the cargo pocket, this works perfectly for allowing immediate access to my penlight even when it is stored out of the way in the cargo pocket.
The fit was as advertised for me, I very much recommend them.
